Many people agreed to say that "It is not funny" was repeated too much during the speech. I agree with this, and I was misunderstanding about the effects this may bring. I was intending to use "it is not funny" multiple times to prove a point that I am very serious and I want to deal with my claim with seriousness. However, I guess it brought a "side-effect". Many people also wrote in their reflections about how my eye-contacts were lacking. I tried my best to give eye contacts at certain parts to strengthen my points, however this also seemed to fail. From this experience my speech giving skills increased by a lot; Never believed that how such small devices such as rhetorical devices would strengthen speeches so much. Many people did comment me about how I acted the speech well. I guess, when giving a speech, one must act very seriously to make claim more dramatic and persuasive. One more thing that people told me was that my voice tone was strong and serious all the time but the problem was that it stayed too low most of the time. People told me that I need to have engaging moments where my voice should change up and down dynamically. My strongest strength seems to be acting seriously throughout the whole speech. Next time given this chance, I will try my best to change my voice tone during the speech so that the listeners will not be bored.
